stuff I have been up too...

What have I been up too lately?

I just finished my final assessment for the Java programming subject.
A great load off my shoulder... now I ask myself, "What is next?"
I think I'd be able to make my HDs again.

This really doesn't please me as much as I think it should have.
Minor irritant 'cause there was not much of a challenge in the assignment tasks.
Major irritant 'cause there is no practical usage for my coding efforts.
By this, I mean that my code is useless.
I was not getting paid for it... nor any reimbursement of any kind.
The code itself, will never be used by anybody.
It will never be used for anything.

I know that the subject constituted part of my learning process.
But... I am still unsatisfied.
It's like playing competitive sports with someone who is an amatuer.
There is no satisfaction in winning...

This was my tag for Reclaim encore.
I thought that the last and final Reclaim event was held last year?
Well... I dunno, anyways...
That was about 2 weeks ago on a Tuesday, I think it was on the 27 September.
Was not as much fun as I had hoped.
Too many people...

Got this from a magazine somewhere when I went shopping with Stefi.
I thought the advertisement was really cool.
It's like with the drawn in parts over the photo.

Yes... *ahem*
I know, understand and grasp the concept that I am a guy...
And, guys do go shopping.
Not just gay guys or metrosexual guys.
Even ordinary guys who work at Subway and are studying to be IT professionals.

Btw, I got a cheap $9.90 wool knit that day too.

Jolin Tsai - Dao Dai

Translation

Jolin Tsai - Rewind

I had enough of what your so-called “arrangements”.
When will the “future” actually come?
You always wait until it’s too late to start telling me how cute I am.
I really want to rely on you but you were always not here.

I’m in a zone where I should be happy however you always give me nothing.
I’m along in the holidays and I can’t find someone to watch the ocean with me.
I’m always standing outside the door of happiness and I can not find the way in.
I cannot let go of the continuous heartbreaks you gave me.

I finally realized that I cannot get the love back, but it’s too late when you realized it
You told me everything at the end, and you cried to ask me to stay.
I finally realized that I cannot get the love back; there are too many obstacles in front of us.
But you don’t want to let me go, you’d rather be disgraced and ask me don’t leave you.

You always want me to be good and play our future slowly.
But my tears kept falling down my cheek.
How are you going to be responsible for the past, the trust that you should have given me?
I am slowly pushed towards the cliff by you.

From the whiteness on my face, I see the memories are slowly gone.
The past sweetness between us keeps rewinding but I can no longer feel anything.
And the hope that I had in you, is broken by you over and over again.
The trust has broken up into too many pieces, how are we going to mend the pieces together and start over again?

"A masterpiece sword... resheathed in it's own scabbard, has become it's own master."

life's lessons...

I was walking around the city yesterday.
After I finished my coffee session with Crys and sent her off on the bus.
I learnt 2 new things...

The first lesson?

I learnt that having a fringe is sort of bad in windy weather.

My hair keeps getting blown all over the place.
You'd reckon it's cool, like in the movies...
But, sometimes I get hair in my eyes. Ouch!
And that hurts... bad.

The second lesson?

This lesson is a little more interesting.
It's the exact opposite of having a Daniel Powter - Bad Day.
It was in windy weather...
I had my palms open to the wind and I was feeling the breeze blow past me.
It tickled my fingertips as it wound its way around me.
And, like a little child, I felt wonder and amazement.
There, I experienced a profound sense of detachment.

I stopped for breath and marvelled at this.

my thoughts...

Just got back from karaoke with Heng.
The place over the Shanghai Club in Chinatown is a ripoff...
The servings (snacks) are stingy and the alcohol charges are ridiculous.
Please... to those who read me, don't go there!

I'm a lil' high and the buzz is good.

I feel like I'm making up for time lost...
When I was in a relationship and I had tempered myself to please my (then) partner.

It's a good feeling... being free and single.
I ~finally~ understand the freedom Crys always talks about.
To be able to flirt shamelessly.
To be able to enjoy the company of crazy friends.
To be able to go clubs and lounges and not feel guilty.
To be able to drink to excess and not care about tomorrow...
Did you know I love to sing Ronan Keating? Haha!

But, would I give it all up again if I found the right person again?
I don't know...
I really don't know if I'm really ready to settle down.

"... to find a girl, and settle down.
If you like, you could get married.
"

I'm not an asshole per se...
At least I don't think I am.
I still conduct myself with integrity.
And, I won't compromise my principles for the sake of gratification.

Maybe, I might still be lonely...

But, like I discussed with Crys over coffee, everything is with an opportunity cost.
I could be attached again... but, with my principles, I would not be enjoying myself as I am now.

I still want to go Michael Buble - Home...

resurrection?

"Do you believe in life after death?", a boss asked one of his employees.
"Yes, sir," the new recruit replied.

"Well, then, that makes everything just fine..." the boss went on. "After you left early yesterday to go to your grandmother's funeral, she stopped in to see you."

the Yamaha YZF-R1

Such a hot hot bike... sigh.

I have this desire~

This is the greatest and latest of the Yamaha family of race bikes.
Pics are taken from the Yamaha Motors website.

The Red is probably the sexiest colour offered. I'm pretty partial to the design of the bike, that and besides it goes fast. According to Jinn, this bike beats any Ferarri from a standing start.

I like the clean lines...

It really looks better in real life. Seriously...

How cool does this look? This bike is too fast in my opinion. And, ofcourse, I'm a bit hesitant over the capacity of this bike.

But, from the closeups... the design is so sexy.

Notice the tiny insignia just under the windshield?

This is what sold me about the bike. How cool is this idea? The exhaust system goes under the seat for a more streamlined design. In a word? Aerodynamics...

1000cc class capacity engine. No idea what that means except that it goes fast. Anvaar did say once that it goes from 0-100 kmph in abt 2~3 seconds. SECONDS!?! wtf?

*edit*

Apologies and deepest condolences to Anvaar who had his R1 stolen recently.
Those fkwits who took your bike, sigh...
Hope the cops get your bike back for you, man.
